About the Business
Dudley Golf Club was actually established by Snooker Players from the Dudley Institute Snooker Club off Penny Lane. These were all Shopkeepers who played their golf on a Wednesday and who then went on to use the Conservative Club in Heath Road for their Competition Room. Eventually, the Allerton Manor Club House was formed by using the Old Stables, which initially had no ceiling, but after a floor had been put on the first level the building became more familiar as we know it.
Thank you to all the Members for their support and especially to the Committee for all their hard work and efforts to help run such a great friendly club. Finally, I look forward to meeting all the Members during my year as Captain. I wish you all a great year both on and off the golf course and hopefully I will be presenting you with a prize at the presentation evening in October or a Major Trophy at the Ladies Night in November.
