About the Business
Dulwich & Sydenham Hill Golf Club was founded in 1894. The course, designed by the great Harry S Colt, is set among mature oaks on the slopes of Sydenham Hill, overlooking Dulwich College, and enjoys a deserved lofty status among the capital's golfing elite. The course offers thrills and spills aplenty, delivers risk and reward in equal measure and with some of the the trickiest, yet truest, greens in the south of England; the course is a genuine test for low and high handicap golfers.
The City is just 5 miles away, and the outlook from the 19th bar, and its terrace balcony, offers the most stunning panoramic views across the whole of London. Dulwich & Sydenham Hill Golf Club truly is a golfing oasis in the heart of London.
The Karolinska Institutet in Sweden studied more than 300,000 golfers and concluded that the death rate for regular golfers is 40 percent lower than for other people of the same sex, age and socioeconomic status. This equates to a five-year increase in life expectancy.
