About the Business
At Leven we have a fairly unique situation; there are two clubs, Leven Golfing Society and Leven Thistle Golf Club who play over the historical links. Annually the members of both clubs appoint their Captain and Vice Captain along with two nominated representatives to form Leven Links Joint Committee (LLJC) which under the chairmanship in alternate years of each clubs Captain, manage the links.
LLJC then employ a Secretary, Starters and Greens staff, who are responsible for the day to day running of the organisation as well as the maintenance and preparation of the golf course. Both club's form their own committees who along with appointed employees manage the clubs affairs and organise their respective club and open competitions.
