About the Business
Reddish Vale is a traditional members' golf club. The club is run by a committee of club members who are nominated by the members. Within the club we have a gentleman's section, a ladies section, and also a Senior and a Junior section. Each section has an appointed Captain and each play their own schedule of competitions.
52 weeks a year, Saturday is club member's competition day. During the summer months, we play a series of handicap qualifying competitions from the white tees. These are usually individual in format, and include our traditional 'major' or 'board' competitions, that have been played for decades. Around 120 members take part each week, which is an ideal amount as there is never a need to ballot for tee times, and all members who wish to play do so. The winter golf programme consists mainly of team games, and finishes with a 'Pro's Cross Country' at the end of March, which is always great fun and played over a different course each year.
Sunday is a very sociable day at the club.
