When you take a look at our historic country mansion building and our impressive 200 acres of Surrey countryside it will come as no surprise to hear that we have a long history full of intrigue and excitement spanning the centuries that have brought us to the present day hotel which has been greeting guests for over 80 years.
We are immensely proud of our grand Victorian building steeped in both Victorian and Jacobean architecture carefully blending its 19th century humble beginnings and its luxurious 21st century facilities. Originally a mansion house the grand building that you see today has been carefully crafted by renowned architect of his time Hugh Mackintosh, who spectacularly enlarged the mansion house in 3 stages throughout the 1920s and 1930s. First the east wing, and then the spectacular west wing creating a total of 200 bedrooms.
