About the Business
Sheerness Golf Club has the unique accolade of being the only golf club on the Isle of Sheppey and, due to it being tucked away, is regarded as one of Kent's hidden gems. Founded in 1909 the club has colourful history which has been both golf and non-golf related. Henry VIII spent his honeymoon near to the course with the second of his six wives, Anne Boleyn. On the other side of the course, on the shores of the club, rests the SS Richard Montgomery, an American ship carrying live explosives that sunk during World War Two. Stepping into the present, the Sheerness Golf Club has a semi-links course, which is kept to a high standard, as well as a chipping and putting green. Views of the course can be seen from the clubhouse and the patio area is perfect for enjoying a warm summer's day on the Kentish coast.
Sheerness Golf Course is best described as a mature semi-links located on the Isle of Sheppey.
