About the Business
South Leeds Golf Club is a traditional golf club with a modern approach that ticks all the boxes. A great golf course, a spacious comfortable and relaxing clubhouse, and friendly staff and members combine to provide a memorable experience for all visiting golfers.
The course originally opened for play back in 1906 but was re-designed in 1923 by Dr Alister Mackenzie, only a matter of years before he assisted Bobby Jones in creating Augusta National, the host venue of the Masters Tournament. It is perhaps no surprise, then, that the course is renowned for its excellent condition, challenge and, in particular, for its terrific greens.
The small undulating putting surfaces are widely and rightly considered to be amongst the best in Yorkshire. Off the course, the club is complemented by a charming clubhouse, which has a lovely, homely feel. If you need it, you can also hire the function room and make full use of the club's superb catering.
