About the Business
In addition to overseeing the Festival, Richard is in charge of the Global Ambassador Programme and to date has created links for the Festival with twenty five countries world wide. From 1984 to 1995, Richard was involved in the creation of many top quality golf clubs throughout the world as consultant surveyor with Robert Trent Jones II. He was Director of Operations for the London office covering an area from the Caribbean to India. During this period, over 20 successful golf clubs were created in 15 countries including Finland, Germany, Russia and Austria.
Since 1995 Richard has created his own consulting company, Golf Surveys Ltd, which specialises in offering clients invaluable expertise in all aspects of golf research, design, construction, marketing and operations. Richard was involved in the creation of the Kingsbarns Links, near St Andrews. The course is rated by Golf Digest in the top twenty of the best courses outside the USA.
