About the Business
The Three Locks Golf Club was established in 1992 as a 9 hole golf course where golfers of all standards can play in a mature setting and enjoy a warm welcome and good challenge. The course was extended just three years later in June 1995 and over the years with the help of the forestry commission, 10,000 new trees have been planted adding definition to this already stunning setting.
Built alongside the Grand Union Canal and with the River Ouzel weaving its way through the course, it's unsurprising that there are so many natural water hazards that come into play testing the nerves of all standards of golfer. The river is in play on five holes with the approach shots on the 15th and 7th greens requiring a correct yardage and clean striking to avoid going down amongst the fishes. In addition to the river, the lakes, ponds and ditches have been cleverly incorporated in the courses design.
