About the Business
Worksop Golf Club was founded in 1914. The course is regarded as one of the outstanding courses of the area for both difficulty & quality. It has a long tradition of providing the base for world class golfers including Lee Westwood, Mark Foster, Maurice Bembridge, and David Snell.
When Lee wrote the forerward for the Top 100 Golf Courses of the British Isles he stated "I always get a thrill each time I tee it up on the 1st, at some of our lesser-known courses as well as our championship venues, but my golfing heart lies at Worksop, a hidden gem if ever there was one".
The Great North Road Classic sponsored by Soper BMW of Lincoln will be held at Worksop, Newark and Stoke Rochford golf clubs between July 15th and 17th. It is a 4BBB stableford competition, limited to 50 pairs and will be played over the 3 courses with daily and overall prizes. Entry is now open for £240 per pair including a post golf daily meal.
